NetEase has secured a minority stake in Swedish indie developer Liquid Swords, GamesIndustry.biz can confirm.
The Chinese firm has made an investment in the Stockholm-based studio, though the exact figure was not undisclosed.
Liquid Swords was founded in 2020 by Christofer Sundberg, best known as the founder of Avalanche Studios and director of the first Just Cause game. The studio is currently working on its debut project, an unannounced AAA open-world title.
