US game spending down 5% to $4.3bn in January, says NPD | US monthly charts

During January, US consumer spending on games reached $4.3 billion, a 5% decline year-over-year, according to the latest NPD data.

Software comprised most of the month's revenue (88%), with game content reaching $3.79 billion in January.
